Looks like the Kings and Queens app we built is being featured in iTunes again.
Just in time for the Royal Wedding, check out the latest app we’ve just built, Kings and Queens, currently featured by Apple as the iPad App of the Week. The app was a collaboration between Trade Mobile and Harper Collins and we were hired by Trade Mobile to build it.
The app features interactive timelines of the history of the British monarchy, family trees, maps and video commentary by David Starkey to guide you through the app.
UPDATE I: Kings and Queens is also #1 in Books now (in the UK)
UPDATE II: watch the video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuUPpxkzMko
UPDATE III: Harper Collins press release
UPDATE IV: featured by Apple in What’s Hot
In fact the app’s not on the App Store yet, it’s due to be submitted on Thursday, but an early version went on show at the London Book Fair 2011.
There have been a lot of interesting developments in the mobile industry recently, particularly with the usage of iPads going mainstream with corporates, so I’ve added a feed to the site to keep readers up to date with some of the big stories.
You can find the feed at the bottom of right column on all pages on this site.
If you haven’t played with an iPad yet I highly recommend it. It’s surprising how much more fun it is to use than a laptop or regular mobile device. Even the iPhone feels quite boring by comparison. To give you some ideas Apple has created a site profiling some of the better 3rd party iPhone apps, with videos, recommended viewing.
